|
The settings for the gallery extension is shown above to the right, with an explaination for each field below.
- Number of columns
Specify the number of columns for the images. In this example the value 2 is used.
- Number of rows
Specify the number of rows for the images. In this example the value 2 is used.
- Width of images (pixels)
Specify the width of the images displayed. * See note below.
- Height of images (pixels)
Specify the height of the images displayed. * See note below.
- Padding (pixels)
Specify the spacing between images. In this example the value 3 is used.
* Remark regarding width and height
It is inexpedient to specify both width and height, as it may break the dimentions, and by that stretch images, so it obtains an incorrect format. By specifying only a height or width, the unspecified value is automatically adjusted, so the image format is kept intact. It might be necessary to specify both height and width though, if the gallery consist of images in both landscape and portrait. This will keep all images the same size, and by that make the gallery look cleaner.
Managing galleries
The image above shows the File manager extension, with three galleries created (Cars, Nature, Products). Galleries are simply folders under the gallery folder, which are filled with images.
