User guide for the File manager extension
The File manager extension is used to manage files in the file system. The extension is typically used to add images or video, which can be inserted into content pages.
The extension is devided into two sections, as the image above demonstrates.
Section 1 - Folders
This sections displays folders. It is possible to add, remove and modify folders, using the buttons in the buttom of the section. Folders containing folders may be collapsed and expanded, by clicking plus/minus to the left of the folder name. The selected folder will be the one in which new files are added, when clicking the Upload file button in section two.
Section 2 - Files
The file list is automatically updated, when a folder is clicked in section 1. In the example above the content of the images folder is displayed. New files can be added by clicking the Upload file button (new window will open), existing files can be downloaded to the computer by clicking Download file. To rename a file, select it in the list, and click the Rename button. The same procedure is used if a file needs to be removed.
Special folders
The image above displays some predefined folders in the system. These are used by other extensions, as explained below.

| editor |

This folder contains files from the editor in the Content page extension. The folder contains some JavaScript files, which are generated for the TinyMCE tool. If the folder is removed, it will automatically be re-created, next time a content page is modified. |

The Gallery extension uses the gallery folder. Folders under this folder represents a gallery. For instance a folder named Vacation could be created, into which images from a vacation are uploaded. The Vacation gallery will show up in the Galleri extension, displaying the images added. |
