User guide for the Contact form extension
The contact form is a so called Content Page Extension, which can be dragged into an ordinary content page. This is described in further details in the
user guide for the Content Pages extension. The contact form allows for visitors to contact the owners using a form consisting of input fields. The number of input fields, and the type of input fields, can be configured to suit one's needs.
The image above is an example of what the contact form could look like. The configuration for the example above is shown below with explainations. The configuration is, as the image below demonstrates, separated into three sections.
Section 1 - Settings
This section contains general settings. Click the Save button when done editing.
- Recipients
Specify e-mail address(es) to which messages are sent. Multiple recipients are separated by comma or semicolon.
- E-mail subject
This is the title of the e-mail which is sent with the content from the contact form. The title is typically displayed in a list containing all e-mails in the e-mail application.
- Success message
Specify the message shown to the visitor when using the contact form. The message is displayed when the content of the contact form is sent.
Section 2 - Field details
This section is used to create and modify input fields for the contact form.
- Field title
Specify the title for the given input field in the contact form. The title is displayed left to the input field.
- Field type
Three different types of input fields can be selected here.
- Text field - results in an ordinary text field (one line)
- Textbox - results in a bigger input area with support for multiple lines of input.
- Checkbox - results in a check box where the visitor can set a checkmark.
Section 3 - Field details
This section displays existing input fields. By clicking an input field in the list, the selected field can be either modified (values are loaded into section 2), removed, or moved up and down. The order in this list determines the order of fields in the contact form.
